Algeria coach reduces number of local players pending qualifier versus Rwanda

The Algerian squad head coach Rabah Saadane has decided to call up 8 local players only for the upcoming match versus Rwanda slated for October 11 as part of the combined World Cup and African Cup of Nations qualifiers, sources from the Algerian Football Association revealed.

• Rabah Saadane decided to keep the three goalkeepers namely Guaouaoui, Chaouchi and Ousserir in the Algeria line-up, in addition to defenders Slilmane Rahou, Samir Zaoui, Khaled Lemouchia and Reda Baabouche, while the competition reached its peak between Hocine Achiou and Abdelkader Laifaoui to snatch the last ticket.
• On the other hand, the national coach has called up all the Europe-based Algerian professional players who took part in the previous world cup qualifying  matches.
