Thousands of Algerian fans travelled to Khartoum to support the national team which was beaten by Egypt 2-0 on Saturday.

Hundreds of people in all over the country are carrying national flags and repeating songs praising the national team. Of them, ladies, children and elderly people are all excited about this important sportive event.

Streets are decorated with Algerian flags and its colours: green red and white making the country looks like its independence day.

Known for their faith and religious convictions, Algeria’s people pray Allah to help their team to win the game believing that everything is decided by God.

For his part Algeria’s coach Rabeh Saadane believes the game will be difficult for both teams but he trusts his players and he is sure that they will do their best.

Striker Rafik Saifi said the presence of thousands Algerian fans in Sudan will motivate the team.

The play-off will take start at 8:30 pm (local time) in El Merrikh stadium in the area of Oum Dermane.
