Algeria counts 10 million patients; half of them do not leave hospitals
Figures and statistics by the National Body of Health Promotion and Development of Research show that over 10 million Algerians are living with various diseases, including seven million Algerians who can’t leave without medicines or a diet.

Head of the body professor Mostafa Khiati said over 100.000 surgeries are conducted annually in the Algerian hospitals.

“Over 300.000 Algerians conducted surgeries for eradicating appendixes annually. As well as the surgeries which are conducted everyday after traffic accidents and terrorism, with the total of over 20.000 surgeries on fracturesâ€, he says.

 In his response to our question regarding “infertility†whether in women or men, Professor Mostafa Khiati said there are no formal statistics, revealing that the infertility in Algeria notice a serious escalation, thing which proves the proliferation of clinics for treatments and specialists in this field, pointing to the need for cooperation of the authorities to control the menu.
