Algeria faces social and economic problems
Algerian Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal will visit the province of Ouargula (south of Algeria) in the next few days while he is expected to announce a set of social and economic measures following oil price fall, Echorouk has learnt.
This comes the new delegate provinces issue is scheduled in an inter-ministerial meeting.
According to the same sources, Sellal will deal with local officials about development and employment issues.
The new delegate provinces project aims at improving services, developing public facilities and ensuring a development platform. The government plans to launch a new five-year-plan.
Sellal who found himself dealing with the President’s illness situation two years ago, has to solve five “heavy issues.”
“The danger coming from the south” is the first problem as marches are still going on against unemployment and gas shale exploitation. School strikes fuelled by unions and the education minister are also a dangerous “bomb.”
Oil price fall is another issue as Algeria’s incomes decreased by 50 percent and consumption products price is on the rise.
