Algeria FAF raises World Cup qualification award
Mohamed Raouraoua, the FAF's head

The Algerian Football Federation (FAF) will raise the national players’ award to 200,000 euros for each if they reach the World Cup in South Africa next year as they were previously supposed to get 100,000 euros.

  •
  • The FAF’s head Mohamed Raouraoua is expected to announce the ‘surprise’ to his players in a meeting due to be held next week.
  • The Algerian team has been qualified to the African Cup due to be held in Angola next year. This qualification was confirmed two rounds before the end of the qualifications.
  • The FAF appears to have a good intention to provide all the necessary conditions to help the players win. The substitute players will also benefit from the award as it was the case after the last victory against Zambia. All the players without exception got 8,000 euros as an award for each.
  • Raouraoua says qualification to the World Cup is between the “players’ feet and he has kept all his promises.”
