Algeria: Judicial ruling orders arrest of retired General Hassan

Authorized sources told Echorouk that the Attorney General at the military tribunal of Blida has ordered the arrest forthwith of retired General Hassan who was in charge of the anti-terrorism unit within the DRS Intelligence services before a decision by the senior hierarchy sent him to early retirement a few weeks ago.

Such a judicial injunction was conveyed to all the security services departments across the country with immediate enforcement whereby General Hassan should be arrested forthwith and brought before justice.

The retired General was placed two weeks ago under judicial supervision and was then questioned by a military examining magistrate in Blida over a raft of incriminating charges leveled against him linked to wrongdoing and serious lapses of duty
