Leader of magistrates' union, Djamel Aidouni denied figures given by the president of lawyers' union, Abdelmajid Silini that more than 95 percent of delivered sentences are approved and executed.

.

In an interview with Algeria’s public newspaper El Moudjahid, Aidouni said on Saturday that there was no institution which could give such accurate figures.

“Because of that, they remain no more than deductions and speculations with any basis.”

On the other hand, Aidouni did not deny a time and professional time on judges due to a large number of cases.

He also rejected the lawyers’ leader who said the desired figures fever to increase the decided cases had made magistrates in race with time to handle as

much as possible of cases.

Siilini said the credibility and honesty of justice during the unique party’s period was much better than it is now during pluralism.

For his part, the magistrates’ leader said justice in Algeria had witnessed an important change to reinforce its honesty and independence.“I am ready to cooperate with lawyers to support this process,” he added.
