Algeria Metro architects resign
French Vinci’s architects resigned from Algeria Metro administration on Sunday for professional reasons raising the possibility that the metro construction would stop.

Vinci administration gave an instruction to forbid the resigning architects from entry, according to the office representatives.

The first part of the project is in its final step. It was supposed to link between the areas of La Grande Poste, Hai El Badr and Bach Djerrah.

The resigning architects told Echorouk Vinci’s officials warned them of dismissal and treated them with double standards. “French officials enjoy absolute liberty in their work while the Algerian architects are insulted in public.”

According to the same source, the Algerian architects have to work for extra hours without being paid. They said they work in the week-end with no insurance.

They also said the French architects have four days off and they are allowed to have their launch from noon to 3 pm while the Algerian employees get laid-off if they come late in the morning.
