Algeria MPS, journalists launch signature campaign to support Swedish journalist
Donald Bostrom
Algerian members of Parliament and journalists launched a signature campaign Wednesday in support of the Swedish journalist Donald Bostrom who wrote a story accusing the Israeli army of stealing human organs from Palestinian men after killing them.
-
According to the signatures letter, a number of MPs will ask for opening an investigation into the story and providing protection for him from Israeli threats.
-
Tens of journalists including the publisher of Algeria’s Echorouk Al Yaoumi newspaper Ali Fodil joined the campaign during an Iftar dinner in Algeria.
-
The National Federation of Algerian Journalists paid tribute to Donald Bostrom and offered him the journalism award.
-
Secretary General of the Federation Abdenour Boukhemkhem said the signature campaign is a step for a real move and not condemnation only.
-
Donald Bostrom urged all the global and Arab press federations to follow in the Algerian federation’s footsteps.
-
Palestinian ambassador to Algeria qualified Bostrom’s action as exceptional as he supported a cause of a country which has nothing to do with him.
