Algeria orders 65 million swine flu vaccines

Algeria orders 65 million swine flu vaccines
Said Barkat, Algerian health minister

Algeria submitted official requests to order 65 million dosages of anti-swine flu vaccine before world laboratories discover it, Algerian health minister said on Wednesday.

  • “The health minister is contacting pharmaceutical industry institutions in the world to make sue that Algeria will get its portion from the vaccine once it is discovered,” Said Barkat said in a seminar in Algeria.
  • “Algeria will continue its efforts in taking all the preventive measures against the pandemic though rumours say it is no more than fabricated pandemic by world laboratories,” he added.
  • He also said the vaccine will be distributed for free on the infected Algerians, their companions, all the health staff and border guards.
  • “Algeria has confirmed seven swine flu cases. Six of them were coming from the US while the seventh case was coming from France.”
