Algerian football coach Rabeh Saadane was angry as he saw a number of journalists and fans in the hotel of his team in Sudan.

Saadane decided to keep his players away from any contact and prevent them from using the phone as he saw some of them talking on the phone.

He imposed a blockade on the players in the last two days to keep them concentrated on Wednesday’s match against Egypt.

The national team are staying in El Fateh hotel next to the Nile River.

Attacking plan

The national team are conducting training following an attacking plan set by the coach.

They will keep the same number in defence line though Antar Yahia and Rafik Helliche were injured.

Saadane will focus on attacking and involving three strikers at once with Rafik Saifi behind Abdelkader Ghezzal or Rafik Djebbour.

The last training was a practice session with focus on penalty kicks.

Optimism over the match

Saadane said Wednesday’s match is difficult as it will determine which team qualifies to the World Cup 2010. “The match will be played a few days after Saturday’s match where the players made big efforts.”

“The players are in great shape and aware of their responsibility. Each one of them is motivated to qualify to the World Cup.”

The national coach hailed the Algerian fans who came to Sudan in support to the national team.

He also said Sudan warmly welcomes the national team.
