Algeria police search for female terrorist leader

Algerian security forces are searching for terrorists’ female leader named R. G. born in eastern Algeria. She disappeared after her husband Yahia Abu Haithem in charge of finance and foreign relations had been killed, Echorouk has learnt.

  • It was reported that she joined terrorist groups and she is now close to the leader of the Salafist Group for Preaching and Combat (GSPC) Abu Musab Abdelouadoud.
  • The terrorist, 35, was living in Algiers and was in charge of transmitting news and messages between terrorist leaders working in Boumerdes (50 km east of Algiers) and the capital.
  • The Police started searching for her after her husband’s father told them he was looking for her to take care of his grandson.
  • Her husband was killed by security forces in the Kabylian region on November 16th in 2007.
  • According to the same sources, arrested and repentant terrorists said she has an important place in the GSPC and she called “the leader.”
  • Her father is a dangerous terrorist named G. Khaled and his brother is a well-known terrorist in the region. He was killed in 1998 in Boumerdes province.
