Algeria port enforces around the clock working schedule
Algeria International Port will be operational for clients all day and all night long in order to achieve a set of objectives mainly speeding up the unloading of cargo ships.
- The port administration said it studied the decision in all its aspects. “The workers will work according to a timetable with 152 hours work per month.”
- “The feasibility of the procedure depends on the reaction of the governmental institutions in charge of unloading containers,” said a statement released by the port administration.
- The governmental institutions in question are the finance and trade ministries.
- This system “will allow Algeria to reach the same services in the world ports. It will provide necessary elements to face ports competition in the Mediterranean Sea.”
