Algeria Receives Mi-28NE Night Hunter Helicopters From Russia
Algeria received helicopters from Russia, on Tuesday, of the type “night hunter” (Mi -28NE) of the total 42 war helicopters that it requested earlier.
“Interfax” News Agency said, citing a statement that was published on the Algerian military website “menadefense”, that the Algerian Air Force received a “Hunter Night” (Mi-28NE) in the context of importing 42 war helicopters that were made in the Russian company Rostvertol.
Media reported earlier that the agreement to export helicopters “MI -28NE” to Algeria will be completed by the autumn of 2017, noting that the first batch of helicopters was delivered to Algeria early on the current June.
A copy of the helicopter “Night Hunter” with two pilots was made at the request of Algeria, and it enables the pilot and navigator to lead the helicopter.
Helicopter “Mi-28NE” with two pilots can be used for the day and night, and it has a high tech firearms and ability to stay in the air with (high dynamic).
It is noteworthy that Iraq also acquired helicopters of this type.
