Algeria reports four new HIV infection cases
Oran’s hospital in western Algeria reported four new cases of HIV infection, Echorouk has learnt from sources at the hospital.

An 11-year-old girl may have been affected after being raped while a 4-month-child affected by the virus was hospitalised. Two other affected children are also in hospital, according to the same sources.

The number of children with HIV virus in Oran has reached about 20 since the beginning of the year. The infection causes are mostly hereditary or the use of non sterilised tools.

A total of 64 infection cases have been reported among adults between 17 and 45 years old since the beginning of the year in the same province.
