Algeria restaurants, hotels to respect international standards
Algerian tourism ministry will give instructions to all the restaurants and touristy complexes to respect international standards, to review their tariff lists and to offer services of high quality, CEO of Tourism National Office said.
-
“This comes as part of the touristy strategic meant to improve all the current services before moving to provide entertainment places,” Mohamed Belhadj told a radio channel.
-
“A series of luxurious hotels built by Algerian businessman Djilali Mehri will be delivered by 2010-2015 as part of the next planned step,” he added.
-
“By then, we can talk about the possibility of competing with Tunisia and Morocco in terms of touristy services.”
-
The official believes that touristy services in Tunisia do not cost much because the government considers tourism as profitable for the public treasury.
-
“Algeria relies on other sources as it is rich of oil and gas. That’s why, it focuses on other sectors,” he said.
