Algeria sports minister ask all losers to quit and not just Raouraoua
Algeria’s sports minister Hadi Ould Ali Sunday called on all the presidents of national sports federations to quit as they failed in accomplishing their objectives.
The minister told reporters that his ministry verifies results made by federations before giving the go-ahead to hold electoral assemblies.
This came as the minister had criticized the president of the Algerian Football Federation Mohamed Raouraoua for the exclusion of the Algerian team from the African Cup of Nations 2017.
“We are assessing federations in terms of finance and administration before we organize general assemblies. Anyone who failed in his mission between 2013 and 2016 should leave,” the minister said.
“We focused on stability and consultation at the ministry along with all he provinces. Our executives will not be involved in the electoral process,” he added.
Earlier, the ministry set the period between January 15th and February 28th to hold ordinary general assemblies of sports federations.
