Algeria targets African Cup
Algerian football team arrived to Luanda Thursday ahead of the African Cup of Nations 2010. A large number of reporters were there to cover the arrival of the players who have won football fans’ hearts.
- Big event in Luanda airport
- The national players arrived at 9 pm after a 9-hour-trip. More than 50 Algerian reporters and many TV channels were there. A large number of passengers coming to Luanda did not leave the airport as they were curious to see the players.
- Coach Rabeh Saadane did not expect that he would be the first star in the airport. His presence was a big event. Players Karim Ziani and Madjid Bougherra were the most wanted by welcoming people. Ziani expressed his optimism over leading his team mates to the best achievement in the African Cup.
- The players looked resolved to make a positive result in the African competition though they had difficult moments as they were in training in France.
- Abdoune, Matmour and Ghezzal participate in the African Cup for the first time. No doubt that they want Angola 2010 to be a historic event.
