Algeria: terrorists beg food in fasting month of Ramadan
The remaining terrorist groups in mountains from western Skikda province (east of Algiers) to eastern Jijel (east of Algiers) found them totally isolated from the world. The Algerian army surrounded them in many areas hindering their activities and freezing their contacts with terror support cells.

Terrorists are now hunting animals to eat without using shots to avoid ambushes with the army forces. Others spend the fasting month of Ramadan begging residents in countryside to give them food. Other terrorists go to rubbish to find something to eat.

Sources said terrorists were seen in Skikda in a bad situation begging food before they had run away to nearby forests. Though they have weapons, they could not get food.

They were wearing worn-down clothes and asked residents to give them food, clothes and blankets.

Six terrorists are still working for the Salafist Group for Preaching and Combat (GSPC) and have carried out terrorist attacks in Skikda since they joined the group in the 1990’s.
