Algeria to conduct reshuffle of judges
Algeria’s Higher Justice Council will hold a meeting in the next few hours to approve a reshuffle of judges and a number of appointments and transfers, Echorouk has learnt.
More than 1,000 judges are expected to be promoted. Judges who have worked for 5 years in the south and 7 years in the north will be automatically transferred.
The reshuffle approval will be conducted in conformity with Article 45 of the Justice Higher Council’s rules and regulations.
According to the same sources, the Council gave a big importance to judges working in the south by promoting some of them in view to their competence and honesty.
The reshuffle is based on experience years and requests made by judges to change their working place.
