Algeria will qualify to World Cup, says Matmour

Algeria’s player Karim Matmour said he was shocked after Egypt won the match against the national team Saturday but he promised to qualify to the World Cup.

• I can not believe that. I was feeling like I was dreaming. We were about to qualify. It was terrible.

• Why did Algeria loose the match?

• I do not know. We had bad luck. We were surprised by the second goal and we found ourselves forced to meet Egypt in a play-off in Sudan.

• Has Algeria now less chances to qualify?

• We did not loose anything. I am asking the Algerian people to trust us because we will win the match in Sudan.

• I do not know. It was terrible pressure. We are waiting for the play-off and you will see my performance and Algeria will qualify to the World Cup.
