Algeria’s Belhadj to visit Doha for treatment

Algeria’s defender Nadir Belhadj is expected to arrive to the Qatari capital Doha Sunday to undergo treatment after he was injured in trainings with Portsmouth.

• Belhadj will join Madjid Bouguerra and Mourad Meghni who are still under treatment in a hospital of Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine. Doctor Hakim Chalabi is in charge of treating them.

• Belhadj will go directly to the hospital to do preliminary consultation and X-ray to find out the injury and determine how long he will stay there.

• Algeria’s fans rely on Doctor Chalabi’s experience as they are expecting he will treat the three players so that they will be ready for the World Cup. That does not seem an impossible mission for the former doctor of Paris Saint-Germain Football Club.

• Belhadj chose to go to Doha as he learnt good news about the treatment of Bouguerra. Meghni has been in the hospital for almost a week.
