Algerian Consulate in Montreal mobilized all its services to receive large crowds of its community, who come everyday in order to extend the term of their passports validity or renewing them before the administration launched the process of changing the current passports to biometric ones, as scheduled from the first of April.

  • As we approach the end of March pressure increased on the General Consulate in Montreal which had received about 250 files on last Saturday requesting the extension or renewal of passports, as it gave the priority to residents outside Montreal coming from various cities of the province of Quebec.

  • The General Consulate Amara Abdelghani told Echorouk that his services are ready to move to the stage of preparing new biometric passports after the arrival of equipments and devises for that process waiting to send a committee from Algeria in order to configure some personnel.
