Algeria’s State Minister Zerhouni: “Egypt refused security cooperation with Algeriaâ€
Algerian Minister of Interior, Noureddine Yazid Zerhouni
Algeria’s State and Interior Minister, Noureddine Yazid Zerhouni, cut the tongue of every speaker in Egypt, when he unveiled the hidden truth about the Egyptian regime; “The Egyptian regime refused security coordination between Egypt and Algeria in order to organize the Cairo match, in contrast to the cooperation by the Sudanese authorities. There were no incidents following the match in Khartoumâ€.
-
“Algerian authorities asked his Egyptian counterpart before the beginning of the match for working in cooperation, but Egyptian authorities refused this suggestion”.
-
-
Zerhouni’s statements mean that the Algerian authorities expected attacks on the Algerian fans in Cairo; “What happened in Cairo is very dangerous, because the attacks did not include only fans, but the Algerian team which was received without security measures”.
-
-
“Things would have been better if the Egyptian authorities accepted our cooperation. It is a lesson for us, because future is still coming”.
-
-
“This kind of events can occur in any country, like what happened in Belgium in 1985”.
-
-
“Algeria has all the means and capacities to build a nation of victories, because our team proved that our youths are able to realize amazing results. The victories of football can also be realized in all the fields”.
-
-
“I congratulate all those who contributed in this victory, including the national gendarmerie, national army, civil protection, Air Algerie, organizations and associations, media, and the courageous fans who moved in crowds to both Cairo and Khartoum”.
