Algerian Ahlem Mostaghanemi issues new book in Lebanon
Lebanon issued a new book of Algerian writer Ahlem Mostaghanem untitled ‘Nissiane Com’ as part of Beirut World Book Capital 2009.

Thousands of fans attended the ceremony as Ahlem sold more than 15,000 copies of her new book.

“I chose to play a linguistic game in my new book. Nissian Com means in Arabic ‘forgetting you,” Ahlem Mostaghanemi told Echorouk on the phone.

Beirut has not been seen like that since a long time. It is a real capital of book culture and creativity,” she added.

According to Memory in the Flesh’s writer, Lebanese Dar Al Adab signed a contract with an Algerian edition house to circulate around 15,000 copies of her new book in Algeria.

Lebanese culture ministry and the municipality of Beirut honoured Ahlem Mostaghanemi as a ‘permanent guest in Lebanon and Beirut.’
