Algerian Armed Forces: “There Are Red Lines That Should Not Be Exceeded”

Algerian Defence Ministry sent a message to the enemies of Algeria saying: “You have to know very well that there are red lines that should not be exceeded”.

“Algerian people which passed several painful experiences throughout its history, can never be today the victim of conspiracies”.

According to the magazine, Al Djaiche “The Army”, which is the mouthpiece of the military institution in its recent editorial; “The National People’s Army performs its national duty towards its country and people, so as Algeria will remain, thanks to its faithful sons, unified in land and people, as its martyrs wanted it to proud of its history, struggle and the elements of its personality, continuing its way to destroy the enemies who should be well aware that there are red lines that should not be exceeded like the martyrs’ bloods.”

The magazine quoted the President Bouteflika, as he is commander in chief of the armed forces and minister of National Defence, as saying, during the last Cabinet meeting regarding the amendment of laws that are relating to the promotion of the rules of the duty of reservation for the armed forces, that through these laws we will maintained the gleaming pictures of the National People’s Army in our society to keep this institution in the service of the republic, and make it above all the the political bets.

Therefore, “Everyone should be more committed than ever to the laws, regulations and distancing self from indulging in all that has nothing to do to the tasks that are entrusted to the functions and responsibilities, for the embodiment of this culture that is built-up on the commitment and duty of reservation, to became a firm behaviour for the military personnel wherever they are, workers or retirees, and our armed forces remain unified, coherent and consistent.”

El Djeiche magazine highlighted the role that is played by the armed forces in its various formations in the fight against terrorism, noting that “National People’s Army will continue its duties with determination and resolve, recording field results through the elimination of a considerable number of terrorists and criminals, and retrieve large amounts of military weapons, ammunition and various materials, like the anti-smuggling and border protection.”

The magazine’s editorial included the word of the Maj. Gen. Guaid Saleh, when he addressed the members the third military region, and through them all the members of the armed forces, when he said, “You are fighting vigorously and with determination and will on your land, this vital region of the dust of your home, and you face the harshness of the climate and adapt with the geographical particularities of this region, and perform your sacred duty towards your country and your people, and realize the promise that was made by members of the national army, and you’re keen to complete the honorable tasks of your country’s constitution.”
