Algerian consulate in Libya stands for charges of Algerian prisoners

The Algerian Consulate in Libya has decided to pay the sum of 3.000 Algerian Dinnars for each of the 73 Algerian prisoners held in this country.

Algerian Consul Ammar Aouamar along with diplomats paid a visit to the Algerian prisoners in to inquire about their living conditions as well as their health He conferred with the prisoners’ representative Abdelhamid Remdani and promised him to do his utmost to deport them at the earliest possible time.

For their part, the Algerian prisoners have called on Algerian president Abdelaziz Bouteflika to discuss their deportation with his counterpart Maamer Al Kadhafi on the sidelines of he next Arab Summit due to take place in Libya in the next few days.

The prisoners also revealed that the Libyan authorities arrested last week a young Algerian illegal immigrant from the locality of Tipaza (west of Algiers) and put him in jail with his fellow citizens.
