“Algerian fans will be safe in Egypt”, Embassy sources say
Egyptian embassy in Algeria took all the necessary measures in Cairo to ensure the safety of Algerian fans ahead of the qualifying match between Algeria and Egypt due to be held on November 14, embassy press attaché said.

“No need to worry about the match. Egypt is a safe country and all the comers will be safe with God willing,” Ali Mahmoud told Echorouk.

“The embassy facilitated the accreditations procedure for journalists to cover the match,” he added.

Algeria’s Echorouk newspaper and Egypt’s Echorouk daily paper have taken an initiative to reject violent among fans and call for fair-play sportsmanship.

Previously, Egypt’s ambassador to Algiers Abdelaziz Saif Enansr said his country will offer visas to all the fans who plan to travel to Cairo.

“We welcome our Algerian brothers to attend the match between Algeria and Egypt in Cairo.”

He also said he is sure that the match will be played within sportive spirit and Egypt is ready to ensure the safety of the match in various aspects.

Algeria is hoping that Egypt will take all the necessary measures to avoid any attempt to trigger tension among fans on the eve of the decisive match.
