Algerian First Private University to Open in September

First private university in Algeria is expected to open on September, 2016, that is, with the university year-start 2016/2017.

It belongs to the businessman and chairman of the Forum of Heads of Institutions, Ali Haddad, who confirmed that; “The project is going is a quick pace, and will be ready in September”, while the Minister of Higher Education and scientific Research, Tahar Hadjar, spoke about the fears of “encroachment” of private universities and assured that there would be “only a very small fraction” of the total Algerian universities.

Chairman of the Head of Institutions Forum, Ali Haddad, spoke to Echorouk, about the completion of the project officially on September, that is, with the start of university year 2016/2017.

“It is currently in the process of preparation of specializations and costs, and other details that are discussed with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.”

” I received assurances from the Minister of Higher Education, Taher Hadjar, that the project will be ready from the legal aspects with the beginning of the next university entry.”
