Algerian flight company acquires 11 Boeing and ATR planes
The Algerian flight company “Air Algérie†yesterday sealed a contract for the acquisition of 7 medium-haul aircrafts of type 737-800 and 4 turboprops ATR of type 72-800.

The ceremony brought together the Algerian transportation minister, Air Algérie general manager, the vice –chairman of Africa and Middle-East representative of the US company “Boeing” and the chairman of French-Italian group ATR..

The purchase operation will put the number of the company’s fleet to 22 “next- Generation” Boeing 737. This acquisition will boost the company’s flight capacities to cover other destinations.

The company’s fleet comprises 8 ATR in use since 2003 in addition to the new acquisition. It should be noted that Air Algérie use 5 Airbus 330 for the long- haul flights including Algiers- Montreal and Algiers – Pekin.
