Algerian armed forces eliminated last week end three terrorists active in the Salafist Group for Preaching and Combat or AQIM, arrested another, and recovered a number of Kalashnikovs and ammunition, in an ambush in El Mansoura, situated in El biane mountains, in the borders between Bouira and Bordj Bouariridj, east of Algiers, sources say.

• The same sources told Echorouk the elimination of the terrorist came after a security ambush by the armed forces, which were supported by units from various military zones, in El Babour Mountains.

• The four terrorists were passing when they were shot by the security forces, and after a few minutes clash, three of them died and the third one surrendered after having noticed that he can’t win the battle, handing over four Kalashnikovs, ammunition and grenades.

• The same sources added that the terrorists entered El Bibane Mountain infiltrating from Tizi Ouzou, east of Algiers, following the siege that was imposed on them for several days.

• A large clean up operation by the Algerian army is currently underway across the various regions of Bouira, east of Algiers, particularly in Boumerdes west, Tizi Ouzou north, Bejaia and Bordj Bouariridj east, following the arrival of military reinforcements from the various military zones, where all the outlets have been closed in the face of terrorists.
