Members of the tenth group of the border guards in Zeghdou, Tindouf, south of Algeria in coordination with the army forces, thwarted an attempt to smuggle over three tons of cannabis, which was smuggled from Mauritania via morocco.

• The members of the regional gendarmerie in Ameria in Timouchent, west of Algeria, seized on the same day over 5 kantars of drugs smuggled towards Oran, west of Algeria, and from there to Algiers, the equivalent t of 3025 kg in one day, at the eve of Ramadan which noticed a large activity of drug smuggling, thus the traffickers did not respect this holy month, that’s why the gendarmerie commanders adopted a tight security plan based on ambushes.
• According to the media cell of the national gendarmerie, border guards of the tenth group in Mekdel Zeghdou, on the borders between Bechar and Tindouf, south of Algeria, arrested in an ambush prepared on the eve of Ramadan, in coordination with the detachment of the army three cars coming from the Moroccan borders, loaded with a huge quantity of drugs, as they shot the smugglers who refused to stop and escaped in the third car towards the Moroccan borders, thus they seized 2475 kg of Moroccan cannabis.
