The Algerian national squad head coach Rabah Saadane has yesterday revealed that the participation the first and foremost requirement for the participation of the players to the upcoming should be a top physical form.

Talking on a radio program, the coach has indicated that he has selected 35 players and will supervise them all and forward the list comprising 30 players to the FIFA on May 15 as a first stage. The list will be reduced to 23 players by the end of May, he added.

In his lengthy intervention, Rabah Saadane put it starkly that he will follow with an utmost interest the players’ performances with their respective clubs and will not hesitate to pull aside those who suffer from injuries and from a lack of competition.

The coach has launched a clear and strong signal to players like Ziani and Mansouri who are not bench warmers in their clubs (Wolfsburg and Lorient) in addition to Meghenni, Yebda and Biougherra who do not play on account of injuries.

The head coach has also indicated that he will not shuffle a lot the Algerian line-up pending the world cup, as he needs four players at maximum but this doesn’t prevent him from supervising 15 others playing in different European clubs.
