Algerian Ship Tassili 2 docked, on Friday, in the port of Oran carrying dozens of Algerian immigrants who started their journey from the Spanish port of Alicante, where they found it very difficult to go out of the port, because of the large number of passengers on the one hand, and the presence of a one scanner, which was not able to examine all of their luggage, what made them spend hours while waiting in line.

Resentment, anger and sigh are signs that were on the visage of dozens of expatriates who came, on Friday, from Spain on board a the ship Tassili 2, which took them from Alicante to Oran, where their joy of visiting homeland, to spend the month of Ramadan with their families turned to a real shock, and they lose their senses and express anger on the transport officials in the country, due to what they described as an overwhelming chaos in the maritime line, as things developed for the worse, and after dozens of passengers remained trapped for hours inside the ship that brought them to the capital of the west of the country, due to the presence of one scanner device only to check their luggage, a situation that angered them a lot, and contributed to the delay of their exit from the ship, in front of the puzzled and surprised families that lined up in front of the port waiting for them impatiently.

An Algerian expatriate in Spain “N.M” told Echorouk, that his joy to meet with his family after a year of exile disappeared soon, due to the unacceptable scenes which he lived inside the ship, throughout the journey from Alicante to Oran, confirming that it is has uncomfortable travel conditions, due to the low services and bad hygiene in the toilets; “This made our journey turne into a torment. I’m surprised at the same time about paying for the meals, which are poor in Euros instead of paying in dinars”.

“It is painful to see this catastrophic situation of the Algerian ships that carry passengers from Europe to Algeria, and which can not be compared with the neighbouring countries ships like Tunisia and Morocco.”

Another passenger said that he found it difficult to get out of the port of Oran, due to the large number of immigrants who come from different Spanish cities in order to spend the month of Ramadan with their families, but they slam into the slow inspection procedures by the presence of one Scanner device which is not able to accommodate with all the passengers’ luggage.

In this context, a number of immigrants who were interviewed by Echorouk in front of the port of Oran called upon the officials to intervene immediately in order to improve the reception conditions.
