Algerian man wants to sell his kidney for marriage
Nacereddine
Nacereddine, 23, is one of the youngmen who choose to sell his kidney in order to feed themselves and their families. “I want to sell my kidney. “What would living with two kidneys in a miserable life mean?†he told Echorouk in an interview.

Nacereddine lives in the province of Batna (east of Algiers) with his family of ten members. “We are living in a firm a man gave it to us after we had been driven out from a house my father rented at 4,000 DZ. My 90-year-old jobless father could not pay for the house.”
-
Nacereddine has studied law science for two years but he gave up because of his bad social conditions. “I worked in construction workshops for 700 DZ per day. This sum was not enough for a family of ten members.”
-
He says he is not healthy as he used to be to do such a job. “Honestly, I was thinking of selling my kidney because I felt powerless. I can not do anything for myself and my family. They do not know about my project. I want to look after them. Poverty is a tough thing. You feel incapable compared to other happy people.”

The Algerian young man says he loves a 22-year-old girl and he wants to marry her but he can not afford that. “I really want to marry her but I can’t do that. It hurts me when she tells me she rejects tens of men asking her for marriage. I can’t do anything for her. We, the poor do not have the right to love.”
-
“For all those reasons, I decided to sell my kidney. I want to have a house and a car and to get married with my beloved one.”
-
He added that he tried to join the police. “I applied for the police school but I was not successful. I wanted to be in the army but my age was a problem.”
-
“I am not thinking of theft or going abroad illegally. I just want to live like the other people. When I walk in the markets and see people doing shopping, I feel sad and jealous. I want to be like them. Because of that, I want to sell my kidney.”
