Algerian oil products'' revenues in 2000-09 exceed USD 393 bln
Algeria's revenues of oil products in the period of 2000-09 exceeded USD 393 billion, Minister of Energy Chekib Khalil said Saturday.
- At a news conference in the western city of Wahran, Khalil said revenues of oil products’ exports in January and February this year were over USD eight billion, or 30 percent over the same period of 2009.
- Algeria succeeded in discovering 125 oil fields between 2000 and 2009, said Khalil, of which 16 were last year.
- On OPEC Oil ministers’ meetings next Tuesday in Vienna, Austria, Khalil said the senior officials would be discussing organizational issues and would be inaugurating the new headquarters of the Secretariat.
