Algerian President declares war on foreign land agencies
Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika ordered governmental officials to avoid all types of corruption project-related public deals grant.
- In a presidential instruction, Bouteflika accused some national operators of promoting unreal business in return for considerable sums.
- Prime Minister Ahmed Ouyahia applied the instruction which was promulgated in December 2009. It is related to all contracts on public properties and the State’s money running.
- The same instruction includes feasibility studies on public projects to be funded by the State. National companies will have to respect four regulations on public deals achievement. Priority will be always given to local services and dealing with foreign expertise will be limited as well. Dealing with expertise with national operators will be encouraged. The fourth regulation consists in national expertise priority.
