Algerian Producers slash at undue lobby imposed by TV managers

The participants in a meeting of the Algerian Producers Union headed by Boualem Aissaoui expressed their outrage at the dismal situation prevailing in the Algerian audiovisual sector, especially the TV production market, which according to them is going from bad to worse over the past few years

• .Some of them even proposed to send a formal request to the Algerian president in order to make an end to the chaotic situation.
• For his part, the Algerian actor Abdennour chellouche staunchly criticized the outcome of the sixth edition of the “Golden Fenecs” ,which awards the best TV productions of the year, and denounced the participation of foreigners in national competitions but hailed the co-production especially with the Syrians who set their supremacy on the Arab drama.
• Some of the producers have sent official requests to the people in charge of this sector at the state run television, for instance M Ali Mokhtar wrote a letter to the new TV general manager and sent a copy to the ministry of culture in which he denounced the despotism of the production’s manager at this company expressing his anger to the refusal by this later of his TV serial “Destinies” last year.
