Algerian security forces chase 14 international drug dealers in Bechar
Nine drug traffickers from the international network that has been dismantled last week in the province of Bechar (south west Algeria) in the borders with Morocco were remanded in custody including tow Moroccans and two Algerian families’ members, while 14 other unidentified individuals are still at large , a top judicial source revealed.

The same source added that this case is classified among the international crimes and is an outcome of an overall strategy followed by the different Algerian security bodies to uproot this phenomenon, while in the past the treated cases were limited to the domestic level.

This operation is among the most important reordered So far by the local security forces of the province of Bechar , as the total amount of the seized drug until a few weeks ago hit the record of several tons.

The southern parts of Bechar was the hub of this international trafficking especially the small locality of “ Tibelbela” where the quantity of the seized drug exceeded 26 tons during the last few months. But security forces consider that the quantity of the seized drug is not the most important element, but rather shifted their focus on the number of arrested elements and their nationalities alike.
