Algerians need 100,000 DZ to face school year and Eid Al Adha
Economy expert Kamel Rezig Wednesday said the next school year will be the most difficult period ever for Algerians due to the current economic crisis.
The next school year will comes at the same time with Eid Al Adha following the fasting month of Ramadan, Eid Al Fitr and summer holidays.
The expert says a father if four should earn at least 100,000 DZ per month to buy new clothes, school tools and the sheep for Eid.
“100,000 DZ is four times more than a basic salary earned by a large number of employees. Studies show that the salary average of Algerians is estimated at 30,000 DZ,” he added.
“This sum is not enough for expenses related to special occasions such as the school year and Eid.”
Rezig also said people should save at least 300,000 DZ per year to meet special occasions needs.
