Algeria’s employment policy will not be affected by financial crisis, says Prime Minister
Echorouk

Algeria’s Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal said the government is still attached to its new economic idea and will diversify it. The new economic mode will not hit the State’s social character. New financial posts will be opened during the new fiscal year. Employment will be reinforced as investment projects will come into force next year.

On a visit to the province of Tiaret, Sellal said the agricultural and industrial sectors are the pillars of national economy. “The government’s decision to develop national economy out of hydrocarbons is undisputable.”

He added that the law on public deals will be reactivated through some texts. He asked energy minister Nourredine Bouterfa to raise production capacity of oil and gas refineries, saying its revenues will be significant if Sonatrach launches recycling industry.

Sellal also said the government is attached to a decision made during the latest tripartite meeting to fix retirement age at 60. “It is unbelievable to ask for retirement at the age of 40.”
