Ali Benhadj: no one can mislead FIS bases
Man No 2 of the banned-Islmaic Salvation Front (FIS) Ali Benhadj said the party’s return does not depend on the fourth term partisans’ remarks, in response to leaders of the Popular Movement Amara Benyounes and TAJ Amar Ghoul.
“The FIS’ return depends on its legitimacy supported by its bases in different categories of society. This legitimacy was expressed by voting and stolen from voters,” Benhadj told Echorouk.
Speaking about the project of promoting the National Reconciliation, Benhadj said President Abdelaziz Bouteflika still has all the prerogatives to complete the project and does not need to make promises for that.
“Bouteflika does not have the right to pretend promoting the Reconciliation while he has been in power for 15 years without accomplishing concrete steps for that,” he added.
He believes that Bouteflika’s partisans try to mislead the uncredited FIS’ bases. “The FIS’ bases will not believe those false promises.”
