Ali Yahia Abdenour: Benflis and Hamrouche can not make change

Honorary president of the National League for Human Rights Ali Yahia Abdenour criticized free candidate Ali Benflis and Algeria’s former head of government Mouloud Hamrouche for not being able to make changes to power if one of them is elected as president.

“Even if Ali Benflis or Mouloud Hamrouche is elected as President, they will not change anything and will obey the regime’s policy and decisions,” said Yahia Abdenour in his book signing.

“Nothing can be done for change as long as the regime can not do that. Benflis and Hamrouche allege that they want to make changes and get Algeria out of trouble. They forgot that they come from the same regime,” he added.

The human rights activist called on civil society and political parties to put an end to this “ridiculous scene” by eliminating “Bouteflika’s ruling” and going forward for optimal democracy based on correct principles.”
