Algiers Tax Directorate filed a lawsuit against an American company that is working in the field of hydrocarbons after evading the payment of taxes for four years, Echorouk well informed sources said.

“Same company closed its headquarters that is located in Algiers Ben Aknoun municipality, prompting the tax authorities to move quickly to collect the outstanding funds, which represent the sum of 100 billion centimes”, same sources add.
“Algiers Bir Mourad Rais Court will consider on May 20 the case of the American company, which refused to pay the taxes owed by the Tax Department in Ben Aknon”.
“The case moved after the closure of the company’s branch, indicating the preparation to leave the national territory, without paying the accumulated taxes, which amounted to 100 billion centimes over four years, and the company is followed on charges of tax fraud”.
It should be noted that the company paid its debts at the beginning of the current year after the case was uncovered in the courts, but the Algerian justice will continue its course, according to the source, due to the delay in paying the taxes for years, which resulted in financial damages to the Tax Directorate.
