ANP Army calls for utmost vigilance to thwart treacherous plots hatched against Algeria

“Algeria’s security in the present and in the future” as well as the “prosperity in terms of stability and quietude of Algeria remains above everything else”, said the Magazine of the National People’s Army (ANP), “El-Djeich” in the editorial of its lastest issue.

The editorial entitled “Our national values: a beacon that enlightens us” maintains that “The National People’s Army (ANP) is fully aware that, in the light of the current volatile international and regional situation, the security of Algeria, present and future, as well as its prosperity in terms of stability and quietude, remains above all other considerations”.

To this end, it was underlined that during the year 2016, the ANP Army “continued to duly fulfill its constitutional missions by exerting sustained efforts in all fields in order to defend the country, to ensure its security, that of the citizens and to preserve its stability and independence and sovereignty, in a regional context characterized by instability, due to adverse changes and events with uncertain fallout.”

El Djeich notes, in this regard, that the ANP Army “garnered more strength acquired in recent years, under the clear-sighted command and the support of the President of the Republic, supreme leader of the national armed forces, and Minister of National Defense, Mr. Abdelaziz Bouteflika, as well as under the guidelines and instructions of the Deputy Minister of National Defense, Chief of Staff of the ANP, Army Corps General, Ahmed Gaid Salah.

It was noted that “the ANP has achieved positive results as it has now become accustomed to recording such meritorious spin-offs in many areas from year to year stemming from hard and permanent work, sustained training of its valiant elements, combat readiness and reliability of its equipment and infrastructure” “.

The high command of the ANP “ensured that all the factors of success of the development process of our armed forces were brought together, putting at their disposal all the means necessary for their modernization and their professionalization.” said El Djeich.

In this regard, the editorial recalled the statement made by the Deputy Minister of National Defense, Chief of Staff of the ANP, during one of his working visits of inspection to the Military Regions, in which he affirmed that “the mastery of the factors contributing to the development of combat capabilities, the operational potential of our corps battle and the promotion of all the components of our armed forces are the main objectives to which the High ANP Command yearns to fully achieve on the ground “.

The Editorial of El Djeich emphasized, in this sense, that “by pursuing its tasks with relentless perseverance in keeping with a correct and long-range vision, the ANP is driven by its deep attachment to Algeria, and its firm sincerity towards the nation which it places above everything else”.

“Thus, over time, it appeared that the prospective measures taken by the ANP command in recent years, aimed at securing the borders of the country, bolstered by the firm cohesion between the people and its army in all circumstances, in order to be able to stamp out any maneuver or threat”.

The Deputy Minister of National Defense, Chief of Staff of the ANP, recalled this firm stance during his last working visit of inspection in the 2nd military region by declaring: “Fulfilling our missions within the ANP, worthy heir to the valiant NLA (National Liberation Army), we have taken up the challenge in recent years to invest in the abnegation and dedication towards our people, in what nourishes its existence, fully conscious and authentic, and harboring noble feelings towards motherland Algeria … “.

El Djeich also noted that “this enlightened vision of the High ANP Command consolidates its accurate and judicious reading of the underlying scope of current regional and is fully aware of the sensitive character of its missions aimed at facing up firmly and resolutely to any danger that could threaten the security and stability of Algeria…. “.

El Djeich added:, “Today, more than ever, it is clear that the challenges of the day impose on everyone the utmost vigilance to abort malicious maneuvers and cowardly conspiracies, with Algeria remaining as it has always been, an impregnable bastion for its enemies, a strong and proud Algeria, rich in heroic epics and strongly attached to its fundamental values… “.

With the advent of the new year, El Djeich magazine further stated that “the ANP Army will continue along the same path, in the accomplishment of its noble missions in all circumstances, ready for sacrifice by following up on the lofty example of its elders, so as to stymie any attempt designed to undermine the security and stability of our country, thanks to the staunch will and the strong resistance of the generations of Algeria.
