ANP forces kill 3 dangerous terrorists in El Oued province

Security sources told “Echorouk” that forces of the National Popular Army (ANP) have put out of action 3 dangerous terrorists in the Tarfaoui area in El Oued province, south – east of Algeria as part of the sustained and unflagging anti-terrorism struggle. 

• Acting on reliable clues about the reported presence in the area of GSPC terrorists, the roving ANP forces chased a “Toyota station” vehicle with on board 3 wanted terrorists.
• The vehicle was also carrying a large quantity of weapons and ammunition as well as basic commodities.
• During the frenzied chase on a sandy path, the ANP forces opened heavy fire on the terrorists’ vehicle which caught fire and later exploded.
• Trapped inside the targeted vehicle, the 3 terrorists were reportedly charred to death and their bodies were later taken to the morgue of El Oued hospital for identification.
• In a separate incident, informed sources told “Echorouk” that a group of around 10 terrorists attacked yesterday a communications relay station belonging to the mobile telephony operator ‘Djezzy” in the municipality of Sidi Amrane near the city of El Oued.
• The station’s guard was wounded by the assailants during the assault, according to the same sources.
• Shortly afterwards, the security forces staged a large-scale combing operation in the whole region to track down those terrorists behind the attack.
• This anti-terrorist combing operation is still underway.
