The Director General of the National Agency of Support for Youth Employment (ANSEJ), Mourad Zemali, has announced that the legal procedures for the proper financing of the various projects initiated by young promoters in Algeria will be markedly eased as part of the ongoing struggle to curb bureaucracy and red tape.

Mr Zemali said to this effect that the processing by the various ANSEJ structures of the submitted files would be carried out in a shorter period of time than previously.

He indicated that the processing of such files would not exceed three months presently, stressing that such a file screening-operation lasted between eight and twenty – four months in the recent past.

Mr Zemali also underscored that the file to be submitted by young project promoters seeking micro-credit financing from an ANSEJ agency, would henceforth include just one application form containing the complete particulars of the applicant.

He further noted that over 170.000 jobs had been generated by about 292.000 micro-enterprises since 1996 by young Algerian promoters as part of the salvaging ANSEJ program.
