Arab League Summit and African-Arab Summit: President Bouteflika arrived in Sirt

President of the Republic Abdelaziz Bouteflika arrived Friday afternoon in Sirt (Libya) to take part in the Arab League Extraordinary Summit and the second African-Arab Summit, to be held respectively on October 9-10.

The Arab League Extraordinary Summit will mainly examine the evolution of joint Arab action and Arab good neighbourliness policy.

The reform of the Arab League and its institutions was at the centre of a debate at Algiers Summit of 2005, during which guidelines were adopted to improve the efficiency of Arab League institutions.
