Arab satellite channels disclose the Egyptian masquerade and discredited their media

All along the media war waged by some Egyptian pseudo media professionals against Algeria as part of the psychological war pending the match Egypt versus Egypt, Echourok has been one of the most active Algerian media and undoubtedly the sole ambassador of millions of Algerians who voiced their rage against this media uproar.

• Talking on behalf of millions of Algerians, the newspaper’s Director General Ali Fodhil has made a remarkable intervention in both TV channels Abu Dhabi and Medi1Sat to express his outrage and slashed at the cowardly attack carried out by the Egyptian fans against the Algerian players.
• He staunchly criticized the so called “Sports channels” that launched a large campaign of destabilization that almost undermined the relationships between the two countries. The same channels have tried to lure the Egyptian public opinion when they denied the attack and spread allegations that the act was perpetrated by the Algerian players themselves.
• Fortunately, some really professional Arab satellite channels have seized the opportunity of the presence of Echourok’s editor in chief Mohammed Yaakoubi in Egypt to invite him their sets in order to get the other version of the facts.
• Talking on the forum “Al Jazeera Live”, Yaakoubi didn’t miss the opportunity to slam the head of the Egyptian Football Association Hassen Zaher who, according to him, has used all means to beat the “Greens”.
• Mohammed Yaakoubi was not tender with the Egyptian media that he qualified as biased in comparison with the Algerian one “ I’m quite amazed to notice an unhealthy habit here in your country (Egypt) which is the conversion of your ancient football glories to media professionals who analyse and criticise without any control”, he said. The editor in chief went on saying” Journalism is a profession which is guided by rules and principles”.
• The French satellite channel “CANAL+” has put an end to the Egyptian masquerade when it disclosed the real identity of the Egyptian driver of the bus where the attack took place, at a time where some Egyptian channels including “Modern Sport” and “Nile Sport” have resorted to interview another man who was introduced as being the driver of the Greens” in their respective reports.
