Armed Forces Seize 669 Kilos Of Moroccan Smuggled Drugs Southern, Western Algeria

The National People’s Army (NPA) forces seized a large quantity of drugs (669 kg), that were smuggled from Morocco in both Bechar (southern Algeria) and Telemcen (west of the country).

According to a statement that was issued by the Ministry of National Defense, a detachment of the National People’s Army (NPA) arrested on Sunday morning in the Beni Wanif border area in the state of Bechar, a drug dealer with a large amount of 455 kg of processed drugs, in the same day the National Gendarmerie seized another quantity of drugs in Telemcen (214,225) kg.

On the other hand, the National People’s Army (NPA) detachments in Tamanrasset and Ain Ghazzam (southern Algeria) arrested three smugglers and seized a firearm and a field glasses, 4 four-wheel vehicles and gold exploration equipment, while another detachment arrested a smuggler who was on board of a truck that was carrying 34 quintals of smuggled.

Security services also arrested 41 illegal immigrants from different nationalities in Telemcen (west), Bechar and Biskra (south).
